very useful! 9 one is so much bigger! Could you put a 9 coldside on to an 8 or even a 5 or 6 tub anything with a 10.5 hot side ?:)

Probably yes. But it's normally that side that fails. So getting one would be difficult...

There is a big difference wouldn't of thought it would be like that...

Guess then that all aftermarket ones that use stock frame are using a 9 frames?

Go careful apsy. Rods won't take anymore than around 360 but with a IX turbo fitted you'll notice it boosts alot quicker :)

if she blows or throws a rod i will have a good excuse to forge her,I also wont be p*ssed off if it does happen as i know 370 + is asking alot

Cheaper to forge it now before a rod destroys the block :)

So if I wanted to fit a 9 turbo to my evo 8 , would it just be a case of new turbo bolted on and a remap. Or would the down pipe need some changing?

Oil feeds are different and so is the j pipe.. The rest should fit fine. Would run without a remap but map would make the most of it.. Worth replacing the downpipe to a true 3 inch and the hks is 2.75 and more restrictive :)
