Evo 8 pops and bangs

Good afternoon lads,

Looking to add pops and bangs to my Evo 8 - Its currently mapped but not sure who by (I just bought the car)

Do i require anything else apart from the software.

I'm a noob to this but I had my previous impreza live mapped several times and have seen the software in action. The Evo is a weekend car so I can tinker with it.

You need the eobd cable too and i think a signal cable. Do you have any experience yourself with playing with maps? All softwares are different so dont assume you can just make it work. Do some research into mapping first, adjusting parameters, afr's ect

Id have it done by a professional personally, and get it put on a button so it can be switched off, mines switches on and off by the intercooler mister spray

Download ECU Flash it is free you can edit the MAP using this, Buy EvoScan for $25 Dollars, this is used to pull the MAP from the car via a OBD2 to USB cable (VAG COM ones are about £10.00),And can also be used to log a multitude of parameters of the car such as live MAP Tracing and graphing things like LOAD, RPM, AFR etc etc well worth the money.
Usually you would buy the Tactrix cable and use EcuFlash to pull off and flash maps to the car, but they are pretty expensive. You can just use a standard obd2 to usb cable and also put 12v to the pin on the port next to the OBD2 port (Pin 79 green and white wire on the ECU) to put it into boot mode then use Evoscan to download the MAP file, then edit said MAP in ecuflash.
