Evo 8 MR FQ340 number?????

Hi all, ive only just noticed that where the gear stick is and the little plate next to it doesnt have a number? It just says evo lancer MR? Anyone know why it doesnt have a build number?

Sounds like it's a JDM MR not a fq340 MR

What does that mean? Ive only just brought the car and the guy said it was an uk MR FQ340. It says on the insurance that its a fq340?

Post a picture up! If it's a uk car it will have ralliart interior and FQ door and boot badges
A plaque with a built number Which would be MR FQ # ??

I have a MR FQ 340

Forget the insurance when most of these got registered they got messed up
They got registered as differnt models then that actually are.

I've just seen it on ebay, it looks to me its just a MR

Which means it's a import not a uk car.

How do you know what cars mine lol, reg is GN05 OZT.
Ah ok it says it was first registered in uk in 2005 on reg docs. So whats the difference with the imports and uk cars?

No yours is a 8 MR no FQ no 340

The FQ range was built for the uk market.

Hence they have build numbers

Oh wow, how has the previous owner managed to get this one to 416bhp?! All its got on it performance wise is an air filter, exhaust, uprated fuel pump and a remap!!

Probably cams aswel, 400bhp is just run of the mill these days so not nothing to be proud of, decent exhaust , cams, filter and a good mapper will see 400 on most evos
