I was wondering the same thing about my standard IX cams. Are they worth selling or binning?

I might be interested in them....let me know how much you want, ill speak to the fella that remaps my car see what bhp i could take it to with them, iv got the gsr260 and have hks 272/272 but he said id have to upgrade the springs and retainers if i put them in and dont really want to take off the head off.....so i may have a pair of hks 272's for sale, how much are these worth to people??

There is a tool you can use to removal the valve springs without removing the head

I've not had the need to use one but seen a few different types about, this would be the one i would try if i needed to http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Valve-Spr...092?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item233cf311ac

i was thinking to stop the valve dropping through you could either hold the top of the valve with a scope magnet or put the piston to dtc, your not going to be putting any pressure on the valve, pressure will be just on the spring so it should just stop it dropping to far down, which i doubt they would anyway,to take valves out they needed a little push, mite as well change the valve stem oil seals at the same time,i bought uprated vitons as they were at a good price, £28 in our country but i was buy some other bits in the states so added them as they were only £10 in the states.
