hello guyz..just came back from holiday from norwich to somerset and to the end part of cornwall.i think they called it last end!..done 1100 miles with £250 of petrol 70-80 miles per hour fully loaded with kids and luggages...i'm very well pleased and happy about the MPG plus of course when you ask him to perform specially on the winding roads and straight line...the evo shines..even the wife is so impressed..i just thought to post this one in case somebody is curious about the MPG!..thanks!

Last time I worked mine out it was around 15 lol

I've had 27-28 before but most of the time its about 17-18 but its worth every penney.

i got from bracknell to selsey and back again which is about 70 miles each way for £40. I was on my own so i give it death all the way there and back. Thought that was good? Best two and a half hour's i had for £40 lol

thanks guyz! not too bad at all?...i think it all depends on how you drive the car...but i guess,mixed driving is still the best one for me...if my maths were right,55liters is 12.08 a gallon..so ...in that 1100miles that i just did..took me 3 fills ( full tank ) my mate with a focus st-2 is quite a bit jealous..lol

Last time I calculated it I got 17-18mpg basically to Wales and I didn't drive very friendly at all. Full tank 200 miles to destination and I used the whole lot. How ever I managed to get to ipswitch from Luton and back on half a tank which I thought was good

average 15mpg round town and close to 4mpg flat out " :O(

I just worked mine out as I been out getting some miles under the belt today for my running in process. Under 4000rpm all day with some gentle amounts of boost while trying to get some load into the engine and I managed 24mpg

this is a little bit off topic but i recently bought a tdi octavia and when im driving on motorways and i check the on board computer it reads that i am doin an average of up to 60mpg can this be right??

Is that the average reading or the instant reading ?

Average as the instant can be anywhere from 30-200 mpg

I've never worked it out but I find it hard to believe

They are so economical it's great

i took a mate out for a run to show him how well a evo goes as he work on skylines mostly . found some nice bendy road and managed to use around 1/4 tank on fuel in less than 5 miles had him turn a funny colour too :O)

Careful now,

Although your back roads in the uk are like our main roads

yeah its the 90 bhp model i plan to map her up to 115 eventually

one of the guys i work with has tdi passat he gave me a lend of it, holy crap it was quick for a diesel it was a wet day and i was driving along in third gear put the foot down and the traction kicked in to stop the wheels spinning :shock:
