hello, i am having a few problems, firstly i haven't driven my evo for a while now (3-4 weeks) and its been parked up, however when i went to start it it wasnt starting so i jumped started it and it was all fine, then i drove it around and it kept cutting out. Now i have put a brand new battery in it and i am still having problems, what is the likely cause? anybody?

Fitting a new battery will always cause the car to stall and idle badly unless you plug in a MUT-II diagnostic tool to tweak the idle. Just keep driving it (and stalling) and the car will eventually learn to re-idle. Will take a few days though. Your initial problems were probably due to the same reason.

Hope you had your side lights on when you jumped it.

You can try a base idle reset, you will find the procedure on google not too sure of it myself

I'm just learning about evos myself but could it be that because you battery has went flat, it's caused the ECU/ EMU to reset itself. If so it will just be a case of driving it for the ecu to re-learn. :)
