Evo 8 engine into evo 4???

I will be swapping my 4 engine with an 8 engine in the next month, some good info in here!

Will have a few professionals on hand should i need it but as far as i can see it should be simple enough. (already running a 5 ecu)

I take it the 8 ecu is a 3 plug? (a evo 8 260 ecu is a 4 plug and will plug straight into your existing loom)

For the hassle involved in swapping wiring looms I'd just go for a 5/6/7 or 8 260 ecu.

I was going to ask that question is it a 3 or 4 plug loom.. re wiring can be a right pain, long as you can get pin outs you could technically re wire it yourself, did on my gt4 with some help. Lots of work but does mean you could also do some loom thinning, say a few grams in wires

Evo 4 Oil return pipe different angle when fitted to sump easy fix use either evo 4 sump or 8 return pipe.... They can be made to fit wit a bit of force but a bastard .

if he is using a full evo 8 engine this wont be an issue :razz:
