Evo 8 eml p0505

Hi chaps, engine management light came on this morning so I did a code read and got p0505, idle system malfunction!!
Car seems to be running fine, wiped the fault and went for a small drive and on it came again, can anyone tell me what it could possibly be please??

is the car a 260 by chance?


take it to someone who can reset the idle and this should cure it.

Yes it's a 260 mate, how did u guess?? What do you mean by reset the idle?

He means a base idle reset, which needs someone with EvoScan or an MUT-II so the stepper can be locked while the idle is adjusted.

Where abouts are you? Might be someone on here who is nearby that can help out.

wots disconnecting the batt do them rob?? mitsi told me it resets things
