Been offered a 7 rear diff at a good price as I've fudged my one on my 6. Will the 7 diff be a direct replacment?

The 7 diff comes with all hangers and both shafts so is it a case of removing mine and fitting this or do I need my shafts and hangers?

Thanks, Reece.

As far as i know. You will need the evo 7 diff with axles with all mounting hardware. Rear sway bar and mustache bar. Someone feel free to correct me if im wrong.

I got everything with it mate but there is no difference between the mounting points, moustache bar and shafts.

The diff is ever so slightly different but all bolts up fine :)

Thanks for the reply anyway dude!

All I've got is me starting with the 7 diff ready and half way through with old diff out but 110% confirmed 7 diff is a direct fit with all the 7 hangers/mounts inc... Driveshafts.

I can only assume that, that is then the same case for 8 & 9 diff fitting and also vise versa if people want to fit a RS diff to there 7,8&9!

Starting:

Old diff out, 7 about to go in:

True lol just such little room to work but i guess that could work to your advantage. Are you using man power or jack to lower it? I assumed man power since the lack of room. Also super off topic but what time is it out by you guys? Its 11:27pm here

The rear sub frame I took down by man power but the diff was lowered with a jack but still had to be lifted on and off and it's not light either!

It's currently 7.29am here lol
