Evo 6 Tappets (maybe)

Hi, just a quickie....when car is cold (only mornings) hear a very loud tappety sound...but once warm goes away...and then when started from cold during th day...never hear it again...is that norm?

probably dirty lash adjusters.


you can remove to clean them or alternatively buy a set of uprated 3mm ones and fit them instead.....common issue (not serious though, so no need to worry)

Could also try using thicker (cold) oil
The first number indicates the cold viscosity (e.g. the '10' in 10w30),the second warm (the '30' in 10w30). So just try using an oil with a higher first number

That is normal enough for the Evo.
