Evo 6 running costs

Hi

Just wanted to ask you all, what a ball-park weekly figure would be for petrol cost on an evo6 gsr running around 330bhp and also set up to run on v power petrol?

I can afford to buy the car and service it, but what worries me alot is the thought of having to spunk £60+ a week on fuel. I intend to use it only on weekends and will likely cover about 35-40 miles on average each weekend.

I once spoke to a lad who owned one and remember him talking about the fuel consumption as being ridiculous. It's the only thing putting me off, my other consideration is a Mk1 Ford Focus RS, its between the two really.

Tend to see 180 miles per tank IMO As a general

im seeing 160 to a full tank consider im running over 400 bhp

It can vary the mrs standard Evo 6 used to do 160 to a tank but now is better after mapping, my 8 used to do 180 before mapping and 200 afterwards

i have just done a 1200 mile round trip in mine mostly motorway driving around the 100-110 mph range with a few top end blast between its a evo 6 with 355 bhp and i was getting 180-190 per tank lowest i got was 150 and that was after a long autobahn session ,dont let the fuel cost put you off its only the same as any other performance car my mate who was driving with me was in a e46 m3 and using about exactly the same between refills ,only his car had a bigger tank than the tiny little one in a evo .If you drive like a lunatic everywhere you can clear a full tank in 110 miles

Really? I get 22 mpg from the evo and 24mpg from the skyline. Same driver, same roads, same style etc.

if i do a full trackday norm do 120 miles and costs around 120 quid in fuel on road i drive spirited and get around 180 to a tank

I'd look into that. My old 9 had 620bhp and i got 220 miles from a tank and i didn't hang about.

My 8 will get me 200 miles give or take with not so careful driving, at about 340

Not a 6 but and X.....
I get around 26-32mpg on motorway runs by being police friendly...
Having fun around town 8-14mpg
Average I would say around 18mpg on varied driving.

Evo's are not the most fuel friendly cars but then fun is never free :angel:

The days I take the car to work it cost me about £50-£60 just for that hence why I got an ASX 4 Diesel for my work journeys now. The saving on the fuel cost alone pays for that car and I can have more fun on weekends instead. :awesome:
