Just put my 6 in for her MOT.........

Failed on rear upper arm drivers side and a drop link. My mechanic says this was a recall (Upper arm) on the evo 6 so will be changed by mitsubishi.
Is there any other recalls on the 6 i heard something about an 02 sensor aswell?
They are looking into it tomorrow (ie. check database for chassis no etc) so hopefully will get repaired by them.

Do Mitsubishi themselves have to do the work as my nearest mitsubishi dealer is about 40 miles away...... :(

On a good note everything else is perfect, So not bad for a 13 yo car :)

So how do you find out if Mitsubishi have done a recall on your car ?

You just call them up mate and they check your chassis no etc against their database to make sure it hasnt already been done. They are having to fax my details to some head office as its a jap import.

Had the recall done yesterday at mitsubishi aberdeen. Thought it wasnt going to be free lol ended up needing new fuel filler pipe and rear brakes :disgusted: dont remember asking them for an inspection lol

Was going to do those things anyway, they did a good job overall and jobs look to be done well.
