Evo 6 Intake filters

Yesterday I removed my HKS pannel filter and had the car dyno'd it went from 406 bhp to 709 bhp so this does work!

I can get dyno sheet

So, does it have to be the HKS filter you take off for 300hp? I have that mushroom too, but maybe there's another brand I could install and then take off for bigger gains.

Did you know...... by changing the colour of hks replacement filter element to RED!!! you will gain a further 72.1 BHP!!!!!!!!

May well have been the green blitz filter, can't remember. Either way its said to compress's under heavy suction from the turbo compressor on full chat.

It's what I was told by a reputable guy and I believed him. Make of that what you will.

On a friendly forum younger just answer my first question of what is believed to be the best. The Celica-club forum from where i normaly reside on line would be much friendlier, and answer the question, not just rip the piss!

i might just put standard box back on and hook up some air feeds and just use a panel filter i wanna keep it pretty standard dont want all colourful pipes etc just some extras to keep performance up. is there any good pipes for air filter on evo 6 and for the one for intercooler with bov on ? are hard pipes the best to use i just dont want no chrome or samco hoses do any ?

The evo forums tend to be bit like that, but if you come onto a forum claiming on a 900bhp build that changing airfilter at that level gives 300bhp your bound to get the piss ripped!:whistling: if i said something as outlandish as that on this forum i would want all member to come round and rape me:razz:
