the heater on my evo 6 is playing up.

When the heater is ON its fine.
but it won't turn off. the display shows the heater as "OFF"
then the blowers seem to go on to full blast as soon as I press OFF.

Blowers come on as soon as the ignition goes on to first click.

I have removed the AC fuse from under bonnet. and it still comes on.

the car is also getting some moisture in the passenger footwell.
So I'm sure the heater matrix is knackered.

Question is how do I stop the blowers coming on completely?
what do I disconnect? without taking the whole unit out?

under bonnet Relay AC fuse box.

can I remove any of these to stop heater blowing?

The blowers aren't controlled on the same relay as the ac fans. You could just unplug the blowers as the power runs into the bottom of them but could be a short of a resister had gone for them to still be blowing.. Can't see the controls packing up..

Thanks. So you think just unplug them from underneath the glove box?

It will stop the blowers working completely.. Near enough under the glove box, be more over to the door side.
