ive been getting my bits for the rg 2.3 stroker and all im waiting on is my oil pump and im ready to roll.here is some pics of the work of art,when i get all this fitted im going for a exedy hd clutch and im going to run it in with the standard bits till i think what route i want so thats a 1000 miles of thinking hehe

ive got some time today to update my build
few new bits bought for the motor
front sticker

arp main and head bolts

AEM cam wheels

GSC S2 cams

new mits oil pump

mits MR head gasket

new bolts for the cam cover when i spray it blue or black

stoney racing blue hoses

so its getting there and the car is booked in next tuesday 15th may,i cant wait hehe its like christmas come early

Yea I've just painted my gearbox mount, selector cable bracket, clutch cylinder while the box was out to do clutch

its the little silly parts you cant get to that make the engine look clean and fresh.tidy some of the wires up and fit my battery in the boot for more space,braided hoses for my cusco oil catch tank,list mounts up

gearbox just starting on but i dont know if i should go black to go with my black and blue theme

ive started sorting my wiring out to hide some of that and fitted my box for the wires and battery for the boot,so its getting there and ive got 2 weeks till its done so i need to spray the cam cover blue,throttle body in black and metal boost pipes in black

pic of my power plant before the 2.3 stroker and when that comes back it will be spanking new

pic of my sump which was alittle worse for wear,its got loads of rust bubbles so i started grinding the worse bits off then i was going to use my wire wheel in my drill.started useing it but it ran out of battery and my charger was at work

thanks for the comments all.i got 2 cans of reims blue for my engine bay at £31.50 for 2 300ml cans:shock::shock:i was proper shocked but it all must look perfect before the engine goes in

ive been tidying up my back because there was some rust spots so ive grinded them back to metal sealed and painted the car colour.moved my battery to the boot now for extra room.camcover is now drying outside in the sun and its looking better than the red
ive been tidying my wires to hide some once my lump has been fitted
air con has been taken out for less weight and when i start tracking and people cant hear my sounds with the windows up anyway :whistling:

engine block is now back 2.3 woooohooooo ive been cleaning it up ready for painting

after degreasing,wire brush and proper clean up to this

cleaned up my throttle body and bracket because i wanted that black as well,

been trying to learn to do bits to my motor so while the diff was on the floor i stripped that down because i was getting the right hand lock (clonking when moving the car slow on full lock)which is snapped diff bolts so here is some pics from today and i will update tomorrow with more

it feels like its taking so long and its starting to do my head in and im starting to miss meets and shows which is making it worse

I can imagine Not to worry too much as I'm sure it will be ready pretty soon and when it is, you'll feel so much better and there will be plenty more meets

i pained the boot as there was some wear in places

my battery in the boot now fuse just needs to be bolted to the floor but its still wet

got 4 kenwood speakers from ebay at a bargin price £19.98

sprayed mu cusco oil catch tank black and fitted

my aem fuel reg fitted in place

sump all sorted and painted

rocker cover all painted and ready to go on with my pipework ready for my catch tank

other odd pipework painted black ready to fit

gearbox painted and ready to go on

head is now ready for rich so its all go and get this motor up and running before brands hatch on the 20th june
