evo 6 gear linkages

Have lost first and reverse in car ,replaced box in jan with one that had been checked out and a new third synchro fitted because at the time was having issues with 5th and reverse this cured the problem with reverse stilll a bit of a pain when cold ,now can't get ist or rev .could this be a linkage issue as part of it appears to be broken ,also can linkages be changed without removing box again ,your help would be greatly appreciated on this as am stumped at the moment !!!!!

yes the linkage can be changed without dropping the box

had to do one a few weeks ago on a friends evo as a piece had broke of his

Thanks for that ,took a bit of weight of my shoulders .you couldn't pm methe procedures for doing it ?am getting no 1st or reverse at the min .
