evo 6 boost

hi guys am new to owning and having my evo ! could you please tell me what is the highest boost i can run as iam at 1.3 bar jst now ... thanks

All depends on what mods you have at the moment, 1.3 is prob the top end of what you can run without all stage 1 parts, has the car been mapped to run 1.3?

thanks for the reply yes was maped by norris design to run 1.3 also has full ralliart exhast, ss turbo elbo , tubular manafold , fuel pump , fuel pressure regulator ,greddy induction kit , larger inter cooler think thats about it

Eel sounds safe enough in that case, still not too sure what boost to pump it to though sorry bud

if its mapped with supporting mods and the fuelling is ok, 5s and 6s can run 1.5 bar safely my old 5 was boosting slightly higher

thanks m8 ! its not been maped since i put the manafold or intercooler on will that make any diffrance to uping the boost ? would i have to get it remaped if i turn it up ?

do you have a boost controller fitted?

i would recommend that you get her checked to be safe

no i dont have a boost controller ! what does a boost controller do ?

a boost controller allows you to adjust the boost up and down

I doubt it has been mapped if it doesnt have a boost controller fitted

as i said mate get a decent local tuner to check it over for you

iv got receipts from norris design saying its been maped ! but no boost controller jst a boost guage

whats involved in a stage 1 jay ? a dont have much of a clue as yet about all this tunning stuff but im hoping yous guys can change that lol

the receipt shows £2314.38 but got a service and a few other things ! i will give them a call tomorrow as you say it cant hurt
