Evo 5 remap help....

ok so im after getting my evo remapped very soon, the mods i currently have are

decat 3" exhaust syetem
blitz air induction kit
uprated fuel pump
and dump valve

iv just had a full service ( plugs, oil, filter ect ) im also having the cambelt changed so i no its all good, also having the diff oil changed and iv the not so ner future the clutch...

is there anything els i shoul do befor a remap? ie; the lower boost pipe as iv been told a map could take it to around 380bhp

last off where is best to go for my map??

sound's about right mate for a stage 1.mite want a boost controller as well. Who's mapping the car?:)

p.s should see about 360 to 380 bhp. It's all about the map:)

to get those gains you will need controller to up the boost or even hardwire a 3 port

Robs sellin an gizmo ibc in the for sale section its a steal at 100 squid jump on it and that's instant gains

So where would be the best place for a map? I live ner Sheffield but don't mind traveling for a good map as long as it's not a daft distance lol

unless someone closer on here does it there are good things said about mg autos in derby i think..... im sure someone else will know someone closer.

Add a 3-port boost solenoid or standalone boost controller to your list. Don't hold your breath for 380 tho, nearer 360 is more realistic running around 1.5 bar boost.

3-port solenloid can be purchased from R-Spec here for £40 + delivery. A boost gauge is also a must, they can also be purchased from R-Spec.

DO NOT fit the 3-port until the car is going to get mapped! If you fit it and do not remap the car it will boost over 2.0 bar!

Thanks buddy, iv already fitted a boost gauge along with an oil temp and pressure gauge keep an eye on all the vital things

Go for the R-Spec 3 port solenoid, it really is the only one worth the money in my opinion! ;)

As for getting the car mapped buddy, the nearest Geek to you is probably Simon.

He is experienced enough to make sure that it gets done right and you will not find anyone cheaper.
