Evo 5 help!

Looking for a bit of help, was replacing my driver side tie rod was looking down the engine bay and broke off a little black box that had a pipe going into the throttle bodies, it had HKS on the box could this be for the turbo timer? Also as I was looking down I noticed 1 cable that comes off the neg battery terminal just hanging there? Any help would be great people.

Could be anything like a turbo timer, even a speed delimiter.

Was the wire supposed to be attached to the Hks box?

Pics would be good, as this sounds completely aftermarket hence the "could be anything" comment
