evo 5 from slovenia

hello to anyone,will upload here pics of my 5 and mods i will do to it.for now nothing mayor.
i'm italian but moved to slovenia where i live now for 2 years-
evo in general are awesome cars,but i'm in love with the 5 look

was searching for a evo 5 for a long time,in eu they have huge price and usually are ****ed examples,trashed or ex recce cars,plus in lhd form they only exist in rs option(so no ac and electric bits),while i like to use it also for weekends and pleasure trip,enjoying riding it everywhere,not only on tracks

so begin to have a look to converted lhd gsr examples but soon realize that noone was reaching my expectation(not perfect conversion,mixed bit from wrong donour cars,usual rust problems on chassis,etc)..
and came to decision to buy a rhd gsr and do a proper conversion myself.

bought the car in november from uk,is really well manteined,low miles and no rust,stock apart from hks catback and apexy filter.feel lucky to have found such an example.a was aiming for one with sunroof(had it on all my personal cars),but was so a untrashed example that i couldnt let it go

have to thanks tonis from motogate,he owns a company in estonia who does professionally conversions,he gave me a lot of advice and will follow me in the project. all the bits ,also the minor ones which usually noones care about.
first step is get a donour car.lancer na and colt share a lot of parts with evo.
again after a long search i got a colt from germany.
is a rare version with black dash,a/c and abs,so no custom and usuall ugly brake lines,and no wrong grey dash as most converted evos have.

the colt is just the starting point ,
during these months i reached to get all the other bits i need ,and at the end of the work it would be a 100% converted one with all the gsr trims.
the list of the parts got is huge ,going from front subframe(thanks tonis again),steering rack(a proper rs one )to the minor ones such as front hood lock,cables for opening rear boot and fuel cap(most of converted one still have them in right side),mirrors and windows switches and surround,hoses,ac lines,etc

major issue was to keep automatic climate control in lhd trim

is possible to see some pics on the net of some lhd lancer with it ,but no parts number,some done with custom parts ,motors glued to rhd manual clima,heather hoses to engine with custom routes etc,mixed up bits .

again was aiming for a oem trim,and again after a long research founds the parts from a company in poland oem parts plug and play

that were the last bits for the conversion i got ,and solved last of my problems (i wanted to keep auto ac so bad i cuoldnt sleep at night )

as i want to complicate my life,i was searching for ralliart gauges cluster,but really hard to find and when,they have crazy prices.
so i got these,replicas with custom red illumination ,and i'm quiete happy with these

got some evo 9 wheels also

and some decals for rear wing

some mudflaps in red with ralliart logo in their way from uk,hope to get them tomorrow

will upload a pic once all is on the car
