Evo 5 COILOVERS??

I know it's prob been mentioned a few times but what are the best coilovers to go for on evo 5??

What are the best budget ones? Heard people
Slate bc and d2 but these are the 2 I'm looking at!!

Don't want to spend an arm and a leg, don't plan on keeping the car forever!!

Best value for money i mean!! I know people have different opinions so any feedback/experiences would be appreciated!!

Need to get some ASAP before my trip to the ring!! Anything elce I will
Need to go with them?? Bushes anti roll bars ect

I got a decent second hand set of D2's on my V and I can't fault them

BC on mine and same as Martin can't fault em, had some hammer too

They won't be as good as ohleins etc but suit the budget much better.

Ignore the bad stuff it's just snobbery :sneaky:

To go with it you will need a good geo set up by a tuner or specialist garage. I would say that's essential!

I run meisters on my V, can barely tell i'm on coilovers they're that good, again I'm sure all of em will be just fine

The bc ones are available in different spring weight mm ect? Don't really understand this as thought u could set them how u wanted so why is the need to sell all different weights mm ect??

Which are the best and how so they differ ??

I think there should only be two options for the evo 5

But I think the best setup would be running the 8kg springs front and rear. Also go for new standard rear shock mounts as aposed to the BC ones.

Reasonings for the spring weights is a can of worms, in regards to suspension settings. Literally an endless conversation.

Best bet is to get one of the above makes and then see how you go and build from there.

Do not forget a proper geometry set up!
