Evo 5 3" intake

Looking at keeping the battery in stock position, has anyone every made there own 3" intake?

I've made a few intakes in my times, but would I see any difference in power Ect?

I think that....... It will Depend on the Turbo I'd say, if you're increasing (presumably) the intake diameter and therefor intake volume the turbo has to shift more air to get to boost pressure. That being said the higher the intake volume the higher the volume of air going into the cylinders, and theoretically more power. However the turbo will need to operate at a higher volumetric flow rate that could result in excessive lag and may end up needing a new exhaust manifold too.

What size is the inlet on the evo 5 turbo? So I know what silicone reducer to buy?
