evo 4 winter tyre sizes ???

hi i am in a bit of a rut i need winter tyres (law over here) but having a problem finding some the right size. the ones on are 215/35/17 and are fine for summer however the best size for availability and price is 215/50/17 i was wondering if these would fit not fussed about a little rubbing as there very little lining in the arches anyways. i have also looked at going down a size but i have evo 5 brembos on and i believe that 17" is the only size that will clear them

PS it is lowered 40mm on eibech springs and evo 5 shocks

It will be a tight fit especially if the car is lowered.

The best thing would be if you get the chaps who have the tyres to fit one onto a rim and then fit the rim to one of the rear hubs and see if everything is OK.

Once you have tested it, you need to do the same thing at the front and full lock the steering to ascertain if that one s fine too.

i would do but i having to order them online and get them fitted so a bit risky not fussed about a bit of rub as harrd driving isnt realy an option in the packed down snow here lol
