evo 4 prices

Hey guys I've given up looking for EVO 3's and got a nice quote on an EVO 4 with slight mods so thought I'd have a look round, thing is they seem to vairy in price I've seen 1 with an EVO 6 engine for just under 4k, 1 with a EVO 5 engine for £3300 and total standard 1's for the same, I've spotted a standard 4 and he wants £3400 but has not a lot of history was imported in 2007 he don't know if clutch or cambelts been done only got 80,000 and he rekons some of that's in km, apparently bodywork is mint. Is that a good price for a standard EVO think its been for sale for a while now, cheers geo

If i was you id try get one with a evo 6 or 5 engine and the 4 engines suffers from crank walk which is very bad news if it happens, im not sure what they are bringing in the uk but in ireland the price has really fell in the last year or so

try and get one with a later engine if your worried about crank walk and with loads of service history. Some sort of paper work if a later engine has been fitted, who fitted it etc. Check the block code.And have a good look under it to. Look for any rust round under the boot.

I am a little worried about crank walk so have emailed a bloke selling a 4 with a 6 engine where are the engine codes on the 4's and 6's?

The engine number can be seen on the front left of the engine (when standing at the front of the car) about half way down the block, stamped in to the block. It is just under where the left side of the exhaust manifold connects to the engine. Shield will need to be removed to see the number.

If the engine code starts with a T, it's a e4 engine.

EVO V: XG, XH, XJ, XK, XL, XM, XN, XO, XP, XQ, XR, XS, XU

EVO VI: AA, AB, AC, AL, AM, AN, AO, AP, AQ, YN, YR, YS, YT, YX, YY

EVO VI TME: BB, BC, BG, BJ, BK, BL, BM, BX

hey guys im going to to look at a 4 today with a 5 engine, car sounds nice Mitsubishi : MITSUBSHI EVO IV WITH EVO 5 ENGINE does any body on here know about this car??
Also what alarm system do evo's from factory come with e.g. cat 1-2??
as he's unsure whats fitted to the car.
