evo 4 partial throttle woes

My evo 4 runs great in all conditions except now at partial throttle it will stutter like cut in and out quickly eg on mway cruising and setting off from junctions or low revs , it only occurs at a certain throttle position, also a few times randomly the car has cut out when braking hard ? Could this be cam sensor? It boost hard at half throttle or full with no problems apart from this low rpm

It could be a sensor or build up of dirt and carbon in the throttle body.

ill clean throttle body and icv and battery reset ecu see if that helps feels like tps tbh

Ive had a lot of build up before in my throttle body and was a bit laggy until i cleaned it. Hope you get sorted mate.

god damn evos when used as a daily always something every month

lol, i use mine every day and abuse it on the weekends. Keeps you busy working on it. I have 3 cars but always would rather drive the evo unless going 100+ miles as it drinks the petrol. Just like a woman (no offence ladies) but you always have to work on it and they need a lot of care & attention.

I know lol good job im a mechanic or would cost a fortune , just hard sometimes as so many things can cause bad running on these engines !!!
