EVO 4, needs attention maybe new engine

Ive just been offered an EVO 4 1996 on a P reg done 88k miles

Its a tidy car, except the bottom end had gone and has been rebuilt, its looking like it still needs work doing, a new engine maybe would be the best thing to do,

how much would i be looking at for a new engine?

hey man.. its a biggy mate, depending on what you want. i know of one going for £650 at the moment, so id say between £600 to £3000

well i would pay £650 as the EVO 4 is up for £2000, but still needs a new starter motor and new MOT, TAX and cd player,

Where is this engine mate?

well not good news, its a base for a forged and stroked engine, so still needs rods and pistons.
