Evo 4 keeps cutting out

Hi Guys

I bought an Evo 4 GSR this week. Its well up together however this evening it has developed a fault. After driving around on boost for around 2 hours, i came to a junction and the engine died on me. It started again at the turn of a key and when driving off boost for the rest of the journey home (approx 5miles) it would intermittently cut out when coming to a stop (yet at other times it would idle fine). Im new to Evo's so im not to sure where to start, my initial thoughts are that this may be an electrical issue or maybe something to do with the idle speed?. Is this something i should be worried about? Any help would be much appreciated.

hi m8 my iv sometimes dose this when i'v had the battery disconnect'd and the ecu resets it dose it a few times and then its fine,

just check the connections on your battery c if they are tight enough

Check your connections and take a look at the plugs too.

got same prob but mine is slightly diferent,

while drivin on motorway in fith gear and went to put the foot down a little bit to over take and as soon as i put the foot down it died on me, no power wot so ever and then it eventually jump started itself as it was still in gear, also doesnt like sitting in traffic if the weather is hot, cuts out alot

Check all of your vacuum pipes etc.

I disconnected and reconnected the battery and it seems to have solved the problem. It now idles fine with no issues. Also checked all vacuum pipes, these also appear OK

It would appear so. Also, at the risk of sounding very stupid, where do you fill up the intercooler spray? Does it take water from the washer bottle?

yes mate it takes it from the washer bottle

is your spray connected cause not all of them are
