evo 4 engine management light/fault code

hi guys im persistantly havin problems. my engine management light keeps comin on. I have followed how to diagnose the fault by shorting pin 1 to the chassis and i think the fault i am getting is 21. i get 2 flashes that last about 2 seconds followed by a 0.5 second flash. This i believe is the engine coolant temperature sensor?correct me if im wrong. anyone know any checks i can do? i have taken it out it looks fine! i get 9v between the harness and chassis. And the resistance changes as the engine gets hotter, The gauge never go's above half, and this seems to be an itermittant problem, though more common than not. i dont think the engine feels any hotter than normal too touch. touch it an get burnt the same its always been!!!!! thanks for any help!

i would say its the temp sensor (its the first thing i would change) If your getting a reading from the harness then it has to be the sensor.
Read back what you have written above, and you will see you have sorted yourself.

i would go 4 that mate its the cheapest option just try it but let us no how u get on with it ye
