evo 4 engine dead

hey guys quick up date on the oil light :sad:
the crank has shit its self and walked :twisted:
so looking for a new engine and recommendations would be helpful

Try jap performance parts for a engine

Evo parts and performance I think it is should have some. A 5/6 engine will generally cost around a grand I think.

sorry to see this :cry: the cause is lack of oil to the bearings is that right? isn't there anyway of using a different oil or additive? even something like gt magnatec to keep it lubed better to slow the wear down,wasn't a great thing to find out after buying my evo

It's the pressure of the clutch pushing against the crank iirc.

How much movement is there on the crank ?

Pushing? err you mean pulling as the EVO 4 has a pull type clutch

But your right clutches have an adverse affect on the EVO 4 crank
especially when combined with too long oil change intervals
I'm not saying thats what you have done just that it is a common issue
on EVO 4
Uprated clutches are even worse as they have more clamping force which needs more pull force to disengage
