Evo 4 bad performance

after starting the car up the engine doesnt seem very responsive, seems to lack power, this is only when the engine is cold, what could this mean, the last full service was done may 2009, my only instinct is the spark plugs on the way out.

where-ever or not im going to replace them shortly, what is the best plugs to go for?

OK......wierd one this now, the engine warning light has came on and now its decided not to stay running after the engine has started, had a problem the same as this a while back, i removed and cleaned the stupid dump valve and it was fine after that.

has anyone got a diagnosis/fault sheet or list they can post up?

is it lumpy idle only when cold ? also is it a after market dump valve or is it the recirc valve ?

it maybe your o2 sensor thats naffed that will cause the crappy performance and engine light

Yes its a bit lumpy on idle from cold only, the Dump Valve is a trumpet style one made by Baileys

I have a list for a service done may 2009 and it cost the last owner £1,570+
it doesnt list an O2 sensor being replaced so that could be a viable option, will look into that one thanks.

ok, the car broke down today. the engine ran fine then once i got to my destenation parked up and went to pull off the engine fired up and died, wont start again now.

Looks ike my 1987 RS will have to come back on the road so i can get it looked at.

Norris Designs any good, they are about 1/2 hour drive from me?
