evo 3 lsd in a 4

sounds NUTS and i'll prob get bitched at but was looking on a evo site called
evolution.net and a topic evo 1 to 9 rear LSD
a guy shows how to put a evo 3 lsd in to a vr4 diff casing there for binning the AYC because he has broke 4 diffs up to now and fitted with pic's showing and saying it can be done on 456 but I cant get post to ask
is this true

A lot of work and parts. I have seen the thread and discussed with a mate at length. We're still not sure it will fit.
Possibly better of getting an aftermarket lsd like cusco or quaife

Not straight forward at all.

It can be done, but it means involving a transmission specialist so by the time it is ready and on the car, it would have been around the same cost or thereabouts as buying and fitting an after market unit.

From reading in to it there seems to be a lot of playing about to get the ratios right. Seems very easy to potentially mess up!
