evo 2 misfiring

hi all,
just some advice and help.
i bought an evo 2 gsr with a few problems the price reflected this obviously.

the car misfires from cold and even when warm.

if you can look at the attached picture. there is come burning on the injector cables.

what could of caused this. could this be the cause of the misfire?

Pull the outer sleeving off and check for chaffing and shorts might have got close to summat hot...... Or not secured properly at some point and chaffed

Had the AA look at the car it has compression loss on cylinder 2. :/
