Evo 1 engine in to a evo 6 ?

Hi guys im new to the forum and new to owning an evo so i dont know much (please dont be too harsh on me )

i bought an old evo 1 and ive seen a evo 6 shell. as ive always wanted an evo 6 i was wondering if the evo 1 engine would fit the evo 6 mounts ?


.i cant just buy an evo 6 because i cant get insurance thanks alot !

any help would be great thanks.

No it wont be a straight fit due to the engine orientation being the wrong way round. It has been done but required major fabrication.

If you could buy the car but struggle to insure it most evo imports are registered as a ''lancer'' only.........
A few years back i had a impreza sti type r (gl) and was £230 fully comp :sneaky:

I wouldnt do it now but depends how you roll lol

Anyway good choice on the evo 6 hope you get one soon M8
