makes sense really Lee can do bristol area and foxy beds, bucks and herts etc.

Shes not really on her own anyway as at fast show , staff members chipped in and so did members to put stand up and parking etc .

I recon its a top idea we may get more members coming to meets if we have a event organiser in their area ....maybe even LOCAL meets :awesome:

as for me not attending fast show i do recall a member on here saying that 1:40mins to travel to combe is to far so wont be attending. seems im expected to travel 3hrs to a show though ????

MMMMMM....a pretty biased view towards members wouldn't you say Lee ?!! As for the "LOT" and taking it as a valid point ...that is DEFO not the attitude to have towards members.........Perhaps organise shows that are not at castle combe then more members who are further away get a chance at coming to more shows .

Seems you have been offended by a good idea ,dont take everything so personal mate ...you have done a good job. Steve is just trying to help the growth of the club as a whole .


NO ONE is saying remove you as event organiser....just add a few more for each area !
and as Foxy has been heavily involved in organising and FUNDING it makes sense

so you agree that that we need regional organisers, so shows that are local to people get the full attention of the region's organiser

Ive travelled for 3 hours + on more than one occasion for just meets and shows, Pod is 2 and a half hours away from me Lee :shock:

And I have Geof...I cant empty peoples pockets for them....why not buy some spark plugs for your next service ????

And I do remember you taking your name off a GB to go direct to a retailer !

Unfortunately you weren't involved in the PM's between Nick and Myself but we expected the GB's to be hard work due to over the road having a much larger following , so im happy with how things are going on the GB front,
we just need members to USE them rather than going direct....but you will normally find members want other things done at the same time so get the item as part of a deal from a trader or tuner.


Here you go mate theres a thread for ideas if you have any that dont involve spec-r tanks due to waiting list being so long....you cant expect people to pay and wait a month for the product matey

I checked the deal and IF you would have bought it as part of the GB IT WOULD OF BEEN CHEAPER...I ASKED THE TRADER DIRECT MATE :razz:

My DA was bought at a show ....those that attended could of got same deal .

My PIAA horn came from a breakers, I luckily saw it on a car and nabbed it off the car for a £5

And the micro fibre cloths ....i found out about 30 mins ago so havent posted in the EBAY FINDS THREAD !!

NOW back to the topic ......IF you want to carry this on ill happily do so on another thread but as a member has put a idea forward I think it should be about that ...dont you ?

everyone was aware of the reasons why i couldnt attend the fast show and im sorry but we dont all have money flowing out of our pockets so due to server lack of funds i never had over £100 to throw away on fuel to attend a car show.
comes down to priorities im affraid.

I think that lee does a good job of organising the events, however if he cant go to a show for whatever reason he is not going to want to organise for others.

I also think it makes sense to have regional organisers because the more local someone is the easier it is for them to know the members from their area and arrange things accordingly. As the site grows there will need to be more and more organisation, i think we have got to the point where it is just too big for one person to do all of it themselves.
