Let's let someone who's impartial to this have a read and see if my suggestion is taken seriously as a serious suggestion for best of both worlds for regional organisers which in turn would make it better for members?
Massive club does it so why not follow suit?

Who in the small active member base would both be able and actually want to do it? I'm sure lee will agree its not exactly a walk in the park!

And no suggestion thread has EVER been removed. I take offence from your insinuations. We do not act upon every suggestion or do exactly as suggested sometimes but they are taken on board and discussed and acted upon.

Plus I'm sorry I offended u I don't ever mean to Maby it's the way I come across sometimes and I apologise but I am not a door mat we are all people on here no one is better than anyone else and the freedom of speech is still in power
Im a very helpfully person and willing to help anyone as a lot of members on and there partners on here will tell u I could be a good addition to your arsenal but I do think sometimes things need to be read as they are and not between the lines or even just a chat first

The etiquette for organising I'm my mind is that anyone can organise a group to attend meets. After all it's just like a group of friends going to a show in a group. It's not an event evoowners.co.uk is attending though unless sanctioned by staffers here so there wouldn't be any of the forum gazebos etc. If someone does a good job a few times and wants to take on the role of an organiser then may be invited to become staff.
Or something like that. It's not set in stone so sometimes it may be handled slightly different but that's the general idea.

The way I see it and I take on board whats been said and yes it is difficult to organise an event which is why me and foxy agreed last year that she could organise whatever events she wanted to around her area. I agreed I'd help out with the forum side of it and that's the way it's been.

I'd also like to add that between myself and a little help from foxy along the way that evoowners attended 2 shows at pod last year which I attended then it was time for a couple down my end ant the last one "rallyday" was a huge success, everyone had a great time and the stand looked awesome which was a credit to the organisers and and more importantly it's members for attending

Me and foxy have always worked together on things for the club behind the scenes and will continue to do so and hope to bring you all together at some great events under what ever title she requires.

Now all we need is some funding to book these shows so if any of you fancy dipping your hand in your pockets feel free

The suggestion has been made, a good one at that, as far as anyone is concerned lee is events organiser so let's make it more official I think is the point. Lee you shouldn't have taken offence and yes there are jives and digs but it's all banter and if your offended message the person involved and nip it in the bud, that's what makes this site work is the relationships.

Let's get back on topic take the valid suggestion and move forward,

Yea I still like my title to stay the same, it has a ring to it as said before me and Lee work well together on events and shows and think we do a great job, I will organise some more local meets as the summer is here as well as shoots up and down the country and try and involve as many members as possible

But what's bothering me is i still don't know why geofs light is red surely you lot can see he's online light is red ?!?! And when I look in the box on the forum where it shows who's online who's been online and who's posted Geof you have a star next to your name

A free site shouldn't be asking members to pay for shows lee ...unless there attending them.

simples ask for money up front from now on then !

as for the stand looking good .... it wouldnt of without the help of members so your point earlier about Foxy wasnt doing a good job because we helped her set up is BANG out of order.....I dont want to go on as you think im bullying you and Nick has said his bit about it now.


What about members in north wales and north of newport pagnell ????? I have 3 hours + of driving to any shows organised on here so far....why not spread your net a bit wider and include the rest of us ???

So we are ALL regional organisers according to Nick's post , so thats what Steve wanted to happen,just a shame that certain members have chips on their shoulders and cant take constructive ideal's on board :awesome:

We can't wait for members to pay before booking stands because members won't pay up till usually a few weeks before which is useless when it comes to booking stands as you can't book without paying and if it's left till members will commit to attending then we end up with a rubbish pitch which members also complain about so the idea about getting payment first is just useless.

so in future choose your words better as we are not mind readers....it seemed to me and im sure others reading it that you expected foxy to do it on her own, your comments on this was extremely provocative towards members and staff alike....if you meant the above I dont think you would have commented like you did, but thats by the by now as you have retracted your statement and justified it

So members now see what they need to do and its up to them if they want a decent stand for a show then they will pay up front ...or failing that post the show up early enough ...maybe you could organise a calendar of dates for shows each year , that way everyone knows what shows we can do then you will have an idea which ones will be popular.
