Eratic idle

Hello fellow Evo'ers

Ok, car has been dormant for a couple of months..

Started her up today took it for a spin and the car idles at between 1000 and 2000 RPM Eratically and very quickly just like your actually blipping the throttle pedal..

Checked everything is plugged in and looks good..can't see any obvious boost/air leaks etc

It's a 97 IV with a 5 engine and turbo..anyone kind enough to possibly help me out as to what to look for/check please guys

Try cleaning the idle controll valve mite your problem as the car has been sitting, mite be a bit sticky, also worth a look at the temp sender as this can cause it as well, you've got two on the car one for dash and the other for ecu, this happened to my IV turned out to be temp send, easy fix
