Out with old in with the new, lash adjusters changed with an oil and filter, found the plugs on cylinder 1 and 3 to be in not the greatest of conditions and to top it off the old lash adjust had already been uprated to the 3mm ones! Grrrr

However they were sticking and I had to use a vice to get them to move! So just changed them.

Ive used 5w40 oil, any one else use this grade?

How does it drive on boost?

Seams to drive fine but ive only had it a few weeks and have nothing to compare it to, I can hear it spool up at 3 and then it pulls hard roughly at 1.6bar all the way to the redline.

I will see if I can film it tonight on my way back home

If it pulls fine I would doubt the spark is arching, is there a 3 port boost solenoid in there?

I havent found one, it has all other stage 1 mods but is only making 316 so I doubt it. Where are they mounted if fitted?

Edit: just followed the vacuum pipe back up from the actuator to what I think is the boost controller mounted under the oil catch tank. Looks standard to me. Plug one end two ports for vacuum pipes the other, one of the pipes coming off however is going nowhere????

I'm sure that goes on to a thin nipple on the pipe that you air filter clamps on too. If you look at where your maf sensor mounts and feel around the bulk head side of that pipe you should feel it. That's where it looks from the picture anyway.

Ok cheers guys, I'll reconnect the pipe in the morning. As the vacuum pipe has been unatached should I have been losing boost pressure???

That pipe runs off the intake pipe, what is happening to boost pressure.. would expect over boost as there would be no pressure in the pipe.

it wouldn't cause the ticking
