hey guys..could you educate me on this!..this thing lit up!.. as soon as i notice it.,went to see a tuner he then plug it to his computer and reset it and it was gone..and it comes back again after 15 minutes or so,specially when you accelerate..what would be the cause of that? is that a major one?

driving an evo 8 mr340

Could be a number of reasons, if your tuner plugged it in he should have been able to read the fault, do the pin test with a short piece of wire bridge pins 1 and 4 and count the flashes, quick flashes are units long flashes are 0

according to him its related to the idle thing ( rpm is a bit higher ) he then manage to normalise the rpm but the icon is still on..does he need to clean up something? but i will try your suggestion fq-craigus..thanks

If he does reset the light again, make sure that he notes down any and all fault codes for you to post up on here.

Hi guyz...as promise to El this is the result....the warning engine icon lit up because the trottle body was so filthy and really dirty...so what he did ( my tuner ) is to take that of and clean it..he then reset the warning icon lamp and plugged it to his computer giving the reading of idle control system correspond to a faulty code of P0505...so i drove the car and hammer it...and the warning lamp never pop again...i hope this helps
