When is it going back in and ready for running in Moh?

Any idea what boost they plan to map it too?

Re-early posts - I have heard mixed reviews on MG but everyone has a few gremlins as they say.

Also not sur why they would map a standard engine to 2-bar, I would want standard internals having to deal with anything more than 1.6.

What's next steps / dates.

I might scratch an itch here (but will stick with NR Autosport for mine)

UPDATE 27/06/13

We have found the crank pick up plate has been damaged, the hole you see (Cut out) has been elongating on the crank key way.
Race balance shaft, 156mm I beam rods and 85.5mm stroker (Long rod) pistons.

Nice build

Mines going the rodjob route with CPP. I'm not after silly power, just piece of mind and reliability. I think all 3 options have a place in the market (Rodjob, Drop In, Forged) Budget comes into it massively in today's climate.

Not heard of many rodjobs going wrong to be fair, it's a very budget friendly conversion, which is exactly why I'm going that route

Forget the rodhob and go fully forged as CPP did my fully forged rebuild. Infact its up there now having the AP's front and back on!!

Budget unfortunately mario. Otherwise I would. But I'm only after 450/450 so the rodjob sits in well with that

Rod job is a cheaper option and heard of plenty running good power on them just don't want any dent. Think its worth saving for forge.

Shouldn't be any det. Plan is to run 2 Bar on the S209 and see 460-470bhp. That'll be plenty for the road

I'm aiming for anything between 600-650 now as I'm doing a full rebuild down to every new part.

Not decided yet. For time being gonna stick to the 80 series though.

Checking bearing clearances, new core plugs fitted, rod end to end weights done.
Setting rings in the picture confirm Dial bore gauge accuracy before carrying out bearing clearance measurements.
Crank re measured after Tim had super finished it.

Can't believe the amount of measuring devices and other equipment is used in engine building. My local mechanic would just put everything back together lol
