EMS Light problem

Can anyone tell me how to do or if you can do, a manual check diagnostic for EMS please, my light came on yesterday and my diagnostic machine is not picking up on the problem so no idea whats going on with it. No loss of power no other problems as yet either, need help guys please.

you can bridge pin 1 and 4 on the obd port (under dash by your left leg/shin)

long flashes = 10
short flashes = 1

(you may also have multiple codes)
