Ello :) Daewoo Matiz owner here (keep reading)

Hey all,

I own a Daewoo Matiz.. (Stop laughing, I'm not lost ) It has a 3 cyl 785cc engine and alas will not go over 35mph any more due to massive compression loss in two of the cylinders. Bummer. But thats what you get when you drive what feels like a golf buggy like a race car.

Anyway before you yell, "are you having a laugh!??" hear me out... A very good petrolhead friend of mine recommended you fine people to me as he noted that my reg plate might be of interest to Evo (5) owners:

It is MT51 VSJ

So before it goes to the breakers yard please check out the For Sale forum and find my ad and the details about how you could be the new owner of this unique(ish) registration number. I'll be straight with you, I've looked up the process and there'll be a bit of to-ing and fro-ing with paperwork and such like and I'd also like to make a small amount of money on it to go towards getting a car with a slightly bigger engine. I'm sure you understand. But I'm not out to rip anyone off.

Plus I genuinely do want a faster car. And I love performance cars. They're bad-ass and poetic all at once. So here's me waving hello and asking you to be gentle with this newbie

I thought you couldn't make a car appear newer than it is or I have passed up a decent evo8 plate

Back to op, nice thought pal but not sure it's much use if I'm honest,

You can't make a car appear newer by fitting a different plate....

Although if you actually read the plate it's 'Mitsi' so any evo would do...

Bit of a Grey area guys but if the vehicle is registered over here by dvla say for example in 2004 and states that on the V5 it will have a year of manufacturers date too,if these match the car can have a 04 plate or older but if the V5 states registered in 2004 but year of manufacturer was 1999 Then it can only have the plate associated with that year date depending on month made as it could be a S,T or V or older!
