it depends on what alarm system u have, if u have a toad or a clifford u could get a full closure system which will automactically close all windows and fold in mirrors when u leave the car and press the button on the alarm fob.
hope that helps :)

let me know your findings mart

i cant have mine wired up to my alarm for the simple reason i have to fold my mirrors in to get my car in the garage

but once out on the street i sometimes forget to fold them at side of the road

so this is why i need it done,so in short i need the switch to still work and have them fold once ignition off then open again when ignition on

there's a solanoid that u can get from clifford that attaches to the main brain of the alarm that will close ur mirrors :)

one solution would be to get a relay with a set-up the same as the interior lights... ie, when you unlock the car the mirrors fold out etc and then wont fold in when driving.
just a thought :)

the only problem with that is when he unlocks he's car in the garage the mirrors will open and he has to fold he's mirrors in to get into the garage
