Yes i think i do need them as well and when i unpluged ECU earlier it now stops when i stop so will have to do idle learn again tomorrow  i had to do that when i got it as battery was flat and it would not idle then its simple enough to do thankfully

I have never come across any other car that has to learn the idle like an evo and have been a mechanic for many years a strange one that

£395 for a tme ecu is bit expensive shop around you will find one cheaper

a standard 5/6 ecu normally sell about £100-150

Get an Evo 5/6 ECU and some 560cc injectors (Evo 4 are 510cc),then just a direct swap of your old ECU & injectors with the new. As said, remember to wire up pin 79 so the ECU can be flashed.

Oh, and you MIGHT experience battery draining/charging problems with the Evo 5/6 ECU, if you do then cut the wire to pin 33, that fixes the issue.
