I've often thought about these for home, but when it comes to buying them I could never justify the £££ I like the idea of being able to drive on them no matter how lower the lift from there :)

I was just thinking of it for oil changes, etc .

Also the scooby could finally get a service , filter and plugs etc HA HA

I'd go for these. Much cheaper and with the extensions ideal for lowered cars or those with front lips.

Still gets them up in the air and tbh you dont really need them that hight anyway.

If you get two sets you can get front and back up at the same time and have a good crawl around underneath :)

1 PAIR OF 2 TONNE CAR RAMPS + RAMP EXTENTIONS BRAND NEW | eBay

I'm thinking of these ones personally

too small in width for my wheels mate !

I have 8.5 J and will have 9.5 J so need 10 " minimum and the one i Linked too is 10.8" , so should fit the 9.5 j width

Can't work out how you would get both ends up at the same time tbh...

I've seen some like the original post but they worked simultaneously via a pump.

i reckon £300 for a pair of ramps you probably wont be able too get your car on is alot of money.
185mm is still really high and i reckon your splitter will be burried into them before your tyre even makes contact.
i have a pair which are simular height but cant get my car on them and mine are around 1200mm long for low car but still cant get on them without messing around with blocks of wood which is just a ball ache. rather just use a jack and axle stands :)

no mate, 185mm is 7 1/4"
a scaffold board might do you to get on them but my question is what do you gain by having the car that high cos only thing youll be able to do is change the oil. anything else that involves working from the top and bottom of the car and and youll be screwed cos you wont be able to reach to get to the top of the car :)

Lee they are adjustable not fixed so you can drop down if needed just re read your post and forgot height .....you sure you didn't edit your post !

They may not be good for you pal but I'd prefer these to axle stands

yea but 450mm is along way mate abd when your lying on your back your gonna struggle to reach the car or your heart will be struggling to pump blood up your arms for along period of time lol :)

mate ibe done engine changes and clutch jobs on axle stands for years.
and using ramps isnt an option for anything except oil changes

and i wouldnt wanna trust a car being that high neither, the higher the car the more unstable, trust me i been crawling under cars for 18 years

Wider the base the more stable mate

So as I was saying ideal for oil changes !

That's what I want em for as jack and axle stand is slowly wrecking my carbon side skirts even with a block of wood on jack and under car lol

And you can pick height

Most are 3 phase mate and will need converting to one phase for home use so end up mega money ! So it's not a little while saving knacker1 ;)

And they need servicing every 6 months

Build a pit and then use a sliding ramp maye loads cheaper ....I just can't destroy the barn floor or I'd have a pit now ......ooh I've had an idea ! Nice one apsy !
