E8....what's it called....??

Hi guys strange question but what's this part called, it's at the very front of the engine bay a long metal bar that's welded at each end onto each arch. One long piece of metal? I thought this was the slam panel but when I search for that it comes up with a different picture?

I think from memory it's also where the headlights bolt onto?

Yeh I was sure it was the slam panel but from looking at other pics that's mate me doubt myself! Will try get some pics up though!!

No mate that's at the rear of the engine, I can't upload a picture but it runs right along the front of the engine

is it the bit that the front bumper clips to and the bonnet mech is attached to, just in the bottom of this pic here?

Could well have a metal cover like this?

That's it guys the long one piece of metal were the headlight bolt on to and where the bonnet catch is!
