Door Light..EVO 6

[ASC7]

Had the door open symbol come up on the dash, when the doors are closed....the problem was intermittant, in that it went away for a month, but is now back!!!

Done the obvious and checked the door swithces, light still comes on when these diconnected, disconnected the remote door entry system and guess what the light still comes on....


looking at the wiring diagram there is a diode somewhere in the wiring loom near to the fuse box by the drivers footwell..but i be buggered if i can find it

Any ideas???

Like I heard el say when I was round his place......if you have a cuppa and take a breather, you fnd that you can crack on with it alot easier lol.

Did you check the switches under the bonnet on the from slam panel???

Check the boot catch its quite a common fault there is a wire going to it disconnect it and see if the light goes out

Have you got an alarm on it mate and if so which one? I had probs with mine for a while and it tuned out to be something to do with the alarm believe or not!

thanks people, was going to look into the alarm, as the light pulses, its a nightwatch system...

Haven't looked into this problem for a few weeks....The last time i did i disconnected the alarm system and the light was still pulsing...checked the wiring diagram and actually found the diode that is in the scematic....but didn't have the bottle to cut the wires as it was a little tight for space, will have to try and get the wires out of the loom....

But before i do that....My car has a tracking device on it somewhere (AA something or other),and when i tried to activate this and take over from the previous owner, i was oinformed that it was not working...now with the fee's being stupid money i decided not to persue this......

They wern't very forthcoming in telling me where on the car it is, would any one have an idea??
