Disc and pad combo

Well was fitting mud flaps today and thought I'd have a lookout the brakes since MOT is due in January,
I will need to fit new discs and pads and was wondering if anyone has a good combo?

I did have grooved discs with ebc red stuff pads on my type-R but just found that the grooves made braking sound a lot louder

Grooved Discs with Performance Friction Pads is your best bet.

If you don't fancy Grooved Discs then go for Standard after market Discs. A good set will cost you around £140 a pair and they will last a lot longer.

Well I was thinking grooved or grooved and drilled with ebc yellow pads

Grooved and Drilled are not too good buddy, even the ones with dimples are not that good.

There are that many brands out there, it all depends on your budget really.

I got some really good ones some time back for a SRobins1, he was complaining that his Discs were lasting a couple of months at the most.

The ones I got him are manufactured in the UK and are made from a better compound compared to most, he had them off me towards the end of February/early March and has not got back to me to say that they are poo so I take it they are still in great condition.

He left me feed back on the Rogue or Rose Thread, last month which is around 6 months later and made no mention on them having let him down at all.

If you can get hold of Blue Print Discs then you should be OK, these were not Blue Print but are manufactured by someone that supplies them.

Yeah I wa thinking black diamond discs and pads not too bad found them for £250 for the rear

Take a look at the DBA range of discs we can supply them if needed they are very good quality and DBA make there own discs in there foundry not like a lot of the other manufactures who sublet out the casings

A little tricky to get hold of as they are mostly available in Japan.
