How is the extra power achieved to get 330bhp out of the fq, can these be mapped further? What elese is different between them? Cheers

Cams are different as is the turbo. Which in turn also means the map. On the plus side 260's come with thicker rods just like the MR so with a set of mr cams, also a Evo IX 80 series turbo, a 3 port boost Solenoide, a walbro 255 fuel pump and a good mapper and you'll see a very reliable 400/400 all day long :)

I read someone on a different forum that the 260's share the same block as the evo 7 and that the rods are weaker?

Simple mods to make good power :)

Why would they make the 260 Stronger than the fq? Would an fq 330 be able to take more power or not?? Seems a bit daft that like lol.

Evo 7/8 rods are good for around the 360-370 mark then you wanna look at changing them for stronger ones :)

As lee said..

Hit and miss though some have run more with no issues while other engines have given up
