Diesel remapping

I was thinking of getting my 100 bhp Renault trafic mapped for a little extra power

But I'm worried it might not be reliable and put extra strain on the gearbox etc anyone here ever get a van mapped or a diesel?

For some reason you get more gains from a simple map on a diesel engine compaired to a petrol turbo.

I know in the BMW world remapping a 330/530d is the done thing and some report more mpg

deisel remaps are wikid for some reason bags an bags of tourqe,, my mate has a fabia vrs with a map on acceleration is wikid, power band is onli like from 2'000 -5'000 thow and loads of black smoke this is normal for a desil thats been maped
