good write up.
Silly question but wtf does that snow foam do anyway?
The snow foam breaks down nasties that could scratch the paint when a sponge/ wash mitt is used, snow foam creates a lubricant and clings to the car and gradually moving downt the car taking the nasties with it and reducing the chance of swirls and scratches from your wash mitt.
Why would you snow foam and then shampoo?
As above really, and to make sure the car body is clean and free from dirt etc as the snow foam will not remove all dirt etc from the body surface or get into all the nooks and crannies that we have on our evo's
Sorry, I think it's time I did my car properly and see the difference rather than cutting coners (which I am suggesting here lol)
Also is a sealer necessary after you clay your car or can you go straight to adding a polish to act as the sealer?
Not necessary but it helps to give more protection and gives a good base for a "wet" or "glossy" shine, I use six or seven different finish products now to give the depth but im still not happy tbh.
I use the paint sealant after the polish/Lime prime, then onto a glaze then another glaze , sealant then wax and sealant.
Alot of people say they do it but they dont as there knackered, but I always give it two coats of mirrror glaze and two of wax then one of sealant !
My car have several swirl marks and holographics that I would like to get rid of
They can be got at by hand mate but it takes work and time, you can always work the polish over areas where it needs it or use a hand pad that cuts slightly, like the Lake country hand applictor
Keep at it and it will work wonders, also use some sort of glaze to fill the swirls that helps , poor boys white diamond for white/light coloured cars or black hole for dark.
